Cybersecurity in industrial communication is becoming increasingly essential.

Regulatory requirements, such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and growing cyber threats are raising key questions for businesses: Where do their own risks originate? What needs to be protected? And which security measures are actually necessary for the specific application?

This webinar will initially focus on the ‘Why?’. Starting with potential threats and specific use cases, we will examine how the individual risk of an application can be assessed and why appropriate protective measures are necessary.

This is followed by the “what?”: what options does PROFINET Security offer? The various approaches to scalable security – Secure Cell, Secure Access and Secure Realtime – are presented. This allows the appropriate security concept to be selected depending on the requirements of the respective application.

Finally, the focus shifts to the “How?”: practical implementation and operation. How can security management be made manageable? And how can security be integrated into the long-term operation of a plant?

From understanding your own risk, through the selection of suitable security measures, to configuration and operation, this webinar offers a practical introduction to PROFINET Security.
