The link of Profibus DP interface unit to the SMP16-Bus.
you want to use the Profibus for connecting Your PC-systems? No problem!
Using the communication SMP16-COM201 You will get a powerful connection
link (up to 12MBd) to the Profibus DP interface. The use of all usual
Profibus-Components (for example ET200) is granted, you have free choice to
install 1600 products of more than 150 manufacturers. Using the communication
card SMP16-COM201, SMP16- and AMS-systems will be connected by 9pin
SUB D connector to the Profibus DP system. A special SMP16-BUS-ASIC is
designed to communicate to the SMP16-BUS and to configure the card
automatically to the SMP16-System. The connection to the Profibus
DPFO-network is realized by the busterminals RS485. The connection to
Profibus is done by 9pin SUB D Connector. Links to the Profibus FO fibre optic
is realized by a 9pin SUB D connector and an fibre optic link for glass and
plastic fibres (optional device).
