The HW-Testdevice BT200 is designed for the start-up phase and for
service-tasks. Because of its functiononality it can be used by the electrician
of PROFIBUS-DP-networks and well experienced service engineers as well.
The device can be structured in three function blocks:
1. Testing of the PROFIBUS-cable:
- Short circiut
- Wire breakage A, B and shield
- Changing of A and B
- Termination correct/missing
- Too much terminators
- Measuring of the installed cable length
2. Testing of the RS485-interface of a PROFIBUS-DP device
- RS485-driver o.k./defect
- 5V available / not available
- 24V available / not available
- RTS-Signal available / not available
3. Testing of the complete PROFIBUS-DP
- Test of the complete DP-network, availabitity of slaves. All slave-addresses
are scanned automatically; connected slaves
are displayed
- test for a certain slave
