The SST PROFIBUS OPC server is a simple and easy solution for connectivity to Profibus. Using the SST Profibus Multi-slave interface card, the OPC server is extremely easy to configure and will not impact your existing Profibus traffic. The OPC server can eavesdrop or spy on a PROFIBUS network to read all the inputs and outputs available on the network. For applications requiring to write data on the PROFIBUS network, the OPC server can connect as 1 to 125 DP slaves, allowing one or more connected DP Masters to scan the OPC server (read inputs and write outputs). Additionally, the server can operate in both of the above modes simultaneously. Contact SST for more information on a PROFIBUS scanner version of the OPC Server.
