With the SOFTNET for PROFIBUS software packages, PCs and SIMATIC programmers devices can be connected with automation systems, e.g. SIMATIC S7. SOFTNET is designed for simple PROFIBUS cards, e.g. CP 5611 A2 (PCI), CP 5611 A2 MPI or CP 5621 (PCIe). The complete protocol stack is handled by the PC.
The software package SOFTNET-S7 Edition 2008 offers PG functions, S7 communication and S5-compatible communication (FDL-Protocol) to IEC 61158/EN 50 170 for 32 Bit Windows XP Professional SP 2, 3; Windows 2003 Server R2, SP2; Windows Vista Business/Ultimate SP1; Windows 2008 Server. This software package includes the S7 OPC server, NCM PC and electronic manual on CD-ROM.
