Product description:

The PSI-REP-PROFIBUS/12MB modular PROFIBUS repeater is designed to meet the high requirements associated with the use of PROFIBUS installations.

Automatic cross wiring of data and power possible via the integrated backplane-bus. Modular station setup with user-selectable configuration of the number of channels and the transmission medium (optical fiber and copper).

The device is mounted onto standard EN DIN rails and supplied with 24 VDC.

Main areas of application:

• electrical isolation/bus segmentation
• increase of system availability, distance and transmission speed
• extending the number of devices on the network to n x 32 (n = number of segments)
• setup of modular PROFIBUS Hubs, combinable with the PSI-MOS optical link modules

Main features of the repeater:

• transmission speed of up to 12 Mbps
• high-quality 4-way isolation between all data ports and power supply
• 24 VDC control cabinet supply voltage, with userfriendly connection via COMBICON plug-in screw terminals
• bit retiming for unlimited cascading
• bit oversampling and start-delimiter detection for maximum data integrity
• Approvals: CE, UL/CSA, ATEX
