The PROFINET Troubleshooting Toolkit bundles three complementary diagnostic and monitoring tools into a single package designed to give controls and maintenance engineers full visibility into PROFINET network performance — from passive real-time monitoring and on-demand topology mapping to centralized multi-network management and historical root cause analysis. Each component operates independently and integrates with the others to cover the full lifecycle of PROFINET diagnostics, commissioning validation, and ongoing condition monitoring. The toolkit ships with electrical wire, shielded Ethernet cable, and a carrying case.
 

An optional PNMA II Network TAP is available for installations where non-reactive inline access to a live PROFINET segment is needed for telegram recording alongside the INspektor® NT.

PROFINET-INspektor® NT
The PROFINET-INspektor® NT is a passive data collector that analyzes telegram traffic in PROFINET and Ethernet networks in real time without disrupting production. Installed permanently between the controller and the first IO device or switch, the unit captures the majority of network communication traffic and provides PROscan® and PROmanage® with continuous quality data for ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. Monitored parameters include telegram gaps, jitter, update times, net load, device failures, error frames, telegram repetitions, device diagnoses, and broad/multicast loads. Event data is stored on-device and accessible via the integrated display or web server. Supports PROFINET IRT, RT, and RT over UDP/IP. Alerts via relay, SNMP trap, email, or TCP event. OPC/UA client, REST-API, and HTTPS supported. DIN rail mount, IP20, 24VDC.
 

PROscan® Active V2
PROscan® Active V2 is topology mapping software that scans any PROFINET or Ethernet network on demand and identifies all devices, connections, and port-level issues. When paired with the PROFINET-INspektor® NT, quality parameters are automatically assigned to each device and displayed in traffic light color coding on the topology map. Capabilities include live topology recording with full device detail, PROFINET device names, IP and MAC addresses, hardware and software versions, order numbers, line length and power budget information, port-level discards and errors, comparison scans that highlight topology changes, PDF and CSV topology export, and acceptance reports with pass/fail checklists supporting custom company logos.
 

PROmanage® NT V2
PROmanage® NT V2 is centralized monitoring software that aggregates network condition data from multiple INspektor® units and managed switches into a single interface, storing up to one year of historical data at one-minute resolution for root cause analysis of sporadic or recurring failures. Capabilities include one-minute interval queries of port statistics and INspektor® quality data, chronicle view with timestamped error events, configurable threshold alerts with alarm forwarding via email, SNMP, OPC, or messaging services, parameter correlation across devices, dual-screen layout support, and scalable licensing from 16 ports up to 960 ports.
