In industrial PROFINET environments, only shielded cabling and connecting elements rated for industrial use are permissible. The PROFINET Cable Type B is a Cat 5 flexible stranded copper cable designed for installations where repeated bending is required — including connections to moveable machine components, pendant stations, and any application where the cable must flex during normal operation. The flexible 7-strand conductor construction, oil-resistant PUR outer jacket, and dual-layer shielding make the Type B suited for demanding industrial environments where a solid Type A cable would be unsuitable. Sold per meter, with required length entered in the quantity field at checkout.
 

Also available in Type A solid construction for fixed installation, and Type C drag-chain capable construction for high-cycle dynamic cable carrier applications.
