Product description:

The unit features an integrated PROFIBUS DP master and CANopen manager interface derived from the ProfiControl 680V system which turns it into a powerful micro-processor controller with a modular design. Slot-in modules either directly connect to the PLC bus or, if they have their own processor, they go through a dual-port RAM. The integrated RS232 ports make you do without a separate V.24 module. There are some connectors for three-core leads so that proximity switches or similar elements can be supplied via the same wire as the signal line. Additional terminal strips are thus made redundant. Its vast range of application is yet enhanced by an external memory module (MultiMediaCard) which you use either as a program memory module for 2 programs or as an 8 Mb data volume. The room-saving construction allows mounting the device at the exact location where input signals are generated or where output signals are needed. Due to the built-in PROFIBUS and CANopen bus interfaces, the unit can operate as a stand-alone controller or as a station in distributed networks. EtherGate 692 is an easy way of directly connecting the unit to the Ethernet.
