The plastic fiber optic standard cables are used in conjunction with Optical Link Modules OLM/P11 and OLM/P12 for assembling optical PROFIBUS networks or for optical connection of segments in RS485 technology for indoor applications. Plastic fiber optica cables can be assemled on-site with 2x2 BFOC plugs. The maximum cable length between two OLM/P11 or OLM/P12 is 80 m. They are supplied with an insertion aid fitted to one end which facilitates insertion of the cable, e.g. into cable channels.
The plastic fiber optic cable standard cable is a rugged round cable with 2 plastic fiber optic cores, PVC outer casing and PA inner casing.
