The PCF Fiber Optic Standard Cable connects optical link modules (OLM/P)for plastic cables with each other. It allows PROFIBUS networks to be configured in bus or star topologies and redundant rings. It is designed with a halogen-free PVC outer sheath and with strain relief (Kevlar fibers) and it is flame-retardant. It can be used for bridging large distances up to 400 m.
It comes preassembled with 2x2 BFOC connectors, each with tag length of 20 cm and with insertion aid fitted to one end.
