The PROFIBUS Cable Flexible is a stranded AWG24/7 copper cable designed for PROFIBUS installations where the cable must accommodate continuous movement — including energy chain cable carriers, pendant stations, and connections to regularly moving machine components. Where the solid standard cable is suited for fixed installation, the flexible construction withstands the repeated bending and movement demands of dynamic machine applications without conductor fatigue. Double shielding — a plastic-laminated aluminum foil layer combined with a tinned copper wire braid — makes the cable suited for use in electromagnetically loaded areas. The cable meets IEC 61158-2, DIN 19245 T3, and EN 50170 requirements and supports PROFIBUS transmission rates up to 12 Mbps. Sold per meter, with required length entered in the quantity field at checkout.
 

Also available in a solid standard version for fixed installation, and an extreme drag-chain capable version for high-cycle cable carrier applications requiring maximum flex life.
