Jumo DICON 401/501 series

The Jumo DICON 401/501 is a universal, freely configurable single-channel profile controller/generator, with a modular design permitting it to be individually adapted to the task. The profile controller provides an optimum process overview of process variables, profile sequence or times, through two 7-segment displays and an 8-character matrix display on two display levels, with 5/8 switching state or operating mode displays. 10 profiles can be programmed, with a total of up to 100 dynamically managed segments. A real-time clock and a 10-entry profile sequence table are available for defining the starting times. The 2 or 4 analog inputs can be used for the acquisition of resistance thermometer, thermocouple, potentiometer and standard signals, and heating current, and can be freely scaled and modified in a customized linearization table. A further 3/6 plug-in slots can be used to achieve up to 8 logic inputs for profile start/stop/cancel etc. or 3/6 outputs (as changeover relays, logic, solid-state or analog outputs). The following special features and functions are also available:

• profile- or event-controlled switching of parameter sets, setpoints, or process values
• mathematics and logic function
• 8 limit comparators and tolerance band monitoring
• 8 operating contacts and profile-end signal
• profile, text or bar chart display
• well-established self-optimization and fuzzy logic
• comfortable setup program with program editor, including startup/commissioning software
• approved to DIN 3440, GL (only DICON 500), UL
• RS422/485 or PROFIBUS DP interfaces are available for data communication, with the easy-to-use Jumo GSD generator.
