Four fieldbus displays are available in the Series
- BA484DF Intrinsically safe, field mounting
- BA488CF Intrinsically safe, panel mounting
- BA684DF General purpose, field mounting
- BA688CF General purpose, panel mounting
Each of these bus-powered instruments can display up to eight fieldbus process variables together with their units of measurement and tag information on a 86 x 45mm (3.4 x 1.8inch) illuminated LCD screen. One, two, four or eight variables may be displayed together on one screen; the next variable or set of variables is shown by pressing one of the front panel push-buttons.
Industrial push-buttons or switches may be wired to the fieldbus display. Internal, external or both sets of push-buttons in parallel can be selected via the internal menus. Updated firmware now enables the push buttons to return operator acknowledgements simply, by using cyclic data.
The field mounting models are housed in a robust IP66 glass reinforced polyester (GRP) enclosure with a toughened glass window that may be surface or pipe mounted. The panel mounting models have an IP65 front panel with a gasket to seal the joint between the instrument and the panel.
Fieldbus displays can be supplied with six isolated alarm outputs, each of which may be linked to any of the displayed fieldbus variables. Alarm setpoints can be entered via the front panel push-buttons. Unauthorised adjustment of alarms and other settings may be prevented by a security code.
The two intrinsically safe models are FISCO compliant and have ATEX, IECEx and FM certification. The field mounting BA484DF is available with optional certification permitting installation in combustible dust atmospheres.
