Expert Logger is a compact, high-performance data logger for the automatic and fail-safe recording and storage of measurement data. It is a data logger of the latest generation that combines state-of-the-art communication with sophisticated measurement technology. Thanks to its FPGA technology, the logger processes up to 46 analog input channels at variable sampling rates. It supports a large number of sensors, stores the measurement data in the device in a fail-safe manner and transmits the precisely recorded measurement values autonomously via USB or LAN to the Internet or to a PC for evaluation.

Expert Logger records data from a wide variety of sources. These include sensors that output standard signals such as 4-20 mA or 0-10 volts, as well as field devices that communicate via protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU or OPC UA. This data is processed and stored in the data logger's internal memory. The data can already be pre-processed and offset against each other in the device, completely independently of the PC. In addition, the recorded data can be accessed in real time via the integrated communication interfaces.

Thanks to its self-sufficient operation even without a network or PC connection, Expert Logger is extremely flexible to use. Its large internal memory of 32 GB enables the storage of up to 960 million measured values, while data transfer to the server or the cloud can be carried out continuously, time-controlled or event-controlled if required. The data logger also has LAN and USB interfaces for seamless integration with PCs or networks. Expert Logger is ideal for a wide range of applications such as data logging, environmental measurement technology, product testing, measured value diagnostics, laboratory data acquisition, experiment and test as well as energy and process data acquisition. It enables autonomous processing of up to 46 analog input channels at sampling rates of up to 1000 kS/s, with each channel being galvanically isolated. The automatic acquisition and pre-processing of measured values takes place at predefined time intervals depending on the requirements of your application.

With up to 46 analog input channels in the smallest of spaces, it offers flexible recording options for a wide range of sensor signals. The recorded measured variables are automatically pre-processed and saved, while LAN or USB can be used for data transmission. Thanks to integrated interfaces such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus and OPC UA, optimum connection to existing infrastructures is guaranteed.

The data logger supports a wide range of sensors, including temperature, humidity, pressure, voltage and current sensors. Depending on the application, these sensors can be used flexibly to record and monitor various measured variables. The Expert Logger offers universal analog inputs (mV, mA, thermocouples, RTDs), flexible digital inputs and an SDI12 interface for environmental sensors. Digital outputs and analog outputs are also available for control and regulation tasks.

The integration of OPC UA into the Expert Logger devices facilitates the acquisition of measured values, monitoring and test stand automation for Industry 4.0 applications. With an integrated OPC UA server and client, the data loggers enable seamless data exchange with other OPC UA-compatible sensors and subsystems. This includes products such as frequency inverters, controllers and regulators that already support OPC UA.
