The CPU module CMC 60 of the Industrial ^IT control system Melody allows redundant system design. In addition to the process functions and the redundant Fnet Interface for Melody-I/O-Module the CMC 60 offers two independent PROFIBUS DP - Interfaces with the following features:

• 2 independent interfaces
  
• Transmission rate 9,600 bit/s ... 12 Mbit/s adjustable for each interface
  
• 3,000 process variables altogether can be configured over the two interfaces

• DPV1 support
  

The complete configuration is done with one tool, the Composer. Process Functions, both redundant PROFIBUS Interfaces and all PROFIBUS Slaves are central configured by help of the FDT technology.
