The IM 184 enables the simple connection of a third-party device as slave to
PROFIBUS-DP. It is based on the LSPM 2 ASIC, and has the RS 485 interface
on board. Communication with the host system takes place via connector strip.

- 32 configurable inputs/outputs, of which up to 16 can be used as diagnostics
inputs
