The PROFIBUS Counter is a 12MBd DP-Slave-Tool with 8 digital counting inputs and 4 digital outputs. The inputs of PBC1 are galvanically separated so that signals of vari-ous potentials and polarity can be easily connected with PBC1. Level-changes of the digital inputs are recognized and processed within one millisec. Thus, an individual counter for each input can be configurated. The count values for a switch-off function at the relay-outputs can be configurated by profibus.
The PROFIBUS Counter?s power supply needs a DC-voltage between 12V to 24V at a maximum current of 1A to 0,5 A . For a logical ?1? the digital inputs needs a minimum current of 5mA. The maximum input voltage is 30V DC. The maximum AC current switched at the relay is 6A with 250V. To protect the contacts of the relay a 250V-Varistor is connected in parallel.
