The ASIC DPC31 comprises the complete functionality of a PROFIBUS-DP-Slave
acc. to EN 50170. Including also a consequent power management and the
3,3 V technology the DPC31 is also able to meet the requirements of the
process industry with PROFIBUS-PA.
The main characteristics are as described:
* Integration of the DP-slave standard protocol. An additional firmware for DPV1
is available.
* A 6 kbyte RAM is included for the communication between application and
DPC31. The proven and well accepted FW interface between application and
DPC31 is supported as well.
* Integrated 8031-Core
* Additional Interface which can either be used as port extension or connection
to an external micro- processor.
* The internal ROM of the DPC31 provides all the necessary functionality to
develop a "single-chip" application for PROFIBUS-DP.
