Sequence of Events (SoE) Guideline

PROFINET

Description:

Sequence of Events (SOE) is an important mechanism that ensures that events occurring at different places in the plant are timestamped and sent to a central archive that can sort them in temporal order. Such ability is necessary for determining causal order of the events to be able to search for causality relations among them.

This Guideline focuses on plant operators, plant designers, PLC programmers and manufacturers of IO-Devices, IO-Controllers, PLCs and SCADA systems.
