Omlox

Description:

The omlox core zone offers tracking and location services for devices equipped with a radio. Although several technologies can offer tracking capabilities (see 5G, RFID, GPS, BLE), the focus is set on the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) tracking and the related part is named the omlox core zone. UWB is a radio technology that allows precise timing measurement due to the low temporal spreading of the impulse wave.
The corrigendum includes adaptations that respond to the change requests from the members of the latest release. Some of these adaptations needed more attention and effort to come to the correct level of detail and therefore have missed the release deadline. The corrections will make the specification more consistent with the contents of the IEEE 802.15.4z standard. It will also improve the details needed to implement the standard as it removes ambiguity concerning the synchronization and mathematics for DL-TDoA.

“Please note that omlox Core Zone Specification Version 2 is not backwards compatible to omlox Core Zone Specification Version 1. Already existing products based on either version can be used. Future products, however, shall implement omlox Core Zone Specification Version 2.”
